An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.
Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
